Works by Salvador Dali, Pablo Picasso, and Andy Warhol auctioned

The Artmark House opens, on 25th January the series of art auctions of this year with a collection of over 100 pieces of graphics and sculptures signed by some of best known modern artists of the world – Salvador Dali (photo), Pablo Picasso, Andy Warhol.According to Artmark, the most valuable piece for auction in the first event of the year is a sculpture made by the famous artist Salvador Dali. The piece in bronze ‘ Venus à la giraffe’ has a starting price of 4,000 euro. Among the works for sale there are ‘Stephen Roll’ by Victor Brauner, ink and watercolour on paper, at an estimated price of 2,500 – 3,500 euro, the chromolithographies ‘Study’ by Gustav Klimt, ‘Bridge over a Pond of Water Lilies’ by Claude Monet and ‘Still Life with Fruit Bowl and Carafe’ by Pablo Picasso, each at 300 – 500 euro, ‘Frank Kafka’ by Andy Warhol, at 250 – 350 euro.The works presented for the auction are presented at Palatul Cesianu-Racovita where they can be visited free of charge.  Similarly, there are also presented the works from the auction of 27th January from two Transylvanian collections as well as those of the auction for contemporary art of 1st February.
