World Bank maintains estimates on Romanian economy advance in 2024 and 2025

Romanian economy will record an advance of 3.3% this year and 3.8% in 2025, similar to the level provisioned in January, according to the latest report on “Global Economic Prospects”, released by the World Bank on Tuesday.   In 2026, GDP increase in Romania will be 3.8%, according to the World Bank. In May, EBRD announced it had not modified estimates on the evolution of Romanian economy in 2024 and warned that the main vulnerability was fiscal position.   According to the latest EBRD forecasts, Romania's GDP will record a 3.2% advance tis year, similar to September 2023 estimates. The increase will accelerate to 3.4% next year.   On the other hand, IMF has reviewed estimates on the growth of Romanian economy, from 3.8% in October to 2.8% at present, according to the World Economic Outlook report released in April.
