XTB profit rises 149% as client base approaches 3 million

August 6, 2026

XTB Group ended the first six months of 2026 with record results, as consolidated net profit exceeded EUR 240 million, up 148.7% compared with the same period last year, while operating revenue reached EUR 490.7 million, an increase of 78.4%. The group attracted more than 703,000 new users, 94.5% more than in the same period of 2025, while its total investor base exceeded 2.9 million as of July 28, 2026. The number of active clients reached almost 1.5 million, up 74.5%.   At the end of the first half of 2026, client assets stood at EUR 11.7 billion, with the largest contributions coming from shares, at EUR 5.4 billion, and ETFs, at nearly EUR 4.7 billion. XTB says it is moving closer to its objective of becoming a universal investment app. This transformation is most visible in client behaviour, as 83% of new users now prioritise shares, ETFs or Investment Plans, the company’s product for passive and automated investing. This marks a shift towards a more balanced business model, with XTB’s profitability supported by an increasingly diversified range of investment products and services.   “Our priority is to provide Romanian investors with a complete platform offering access to shares and ETFs, savings tools, financial education and high security standards. The diversification of our products and the steady increase in the number of clients show that this direction responds to people’s needs,” said Irina Cristescu, General Manager of XTB Romania.   “Just two years ago, we celebrated exceeding the threshold of one million clients. Today, that number is almost three times higher. This scale demonstrates the significant potential that still lies ahead for XTB. Our plans go far beyond the current results, as we intend to develop XTB into the preferred app for everyone who wants to invest, save and manage their finances in one place,” said Omar Arnaout, CEO of XTB.   During the first months of the year, XTB recorded its strongest presence to date across both online and traditional media, promoting its financial education and marketing campaigns. The company also strengthened its global visibility by signing the largest sponsorship agreements in its history, including a partnership with FIBA for the Basketball World Cups and an agreement with Italian football club SSC Napoli.   To support investors, including beginners, XTB has launched an improved version of its flagship Investment Plans product, which will soon become available in Romania. Clients have also gained the ability to trade shares listed on European markets outside regular trading hours, while the company is completing the design of a new margin-trading product.   On security, XTB has introduced improvements including an emergency function for instantly blocking transactions and a feature for verifying incoming calls, in line with security standards used in the banking sector.   Founded in Poland in 2004 and listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange since 2016, XTB operates 17 offices worldwide and employs more than 1,400 people.
