Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky thanked on Sunday, in an X post, Romanian President Nicusor Dan "for clarity", after Dan stated that the drone that crashed in the early hours of Friday onto a block of flats in Galati was a Russian-origin Geran-2."Facts are the best cure to Putin's lies and they prove that Russia's manipulations will not pass. Ukraine is ready to work closely together to counter common threats and strengthen the protection of life - not only for our country, but also for the friendly Romania," Zelensky wrote.President Nicusor Dan announced on Sunday that the drone that hit a residential building in Galati was a Russian-made Geran-2, stressing that Romania "will neither ignore nor downplay" any incident that endangers the lives of its citizens, national security or the sovereignty of the Romanian state. The head of the state noted that the report also shows that the manufacturing markings, technical inscriptions, structural characteristics and materials used follow the same technological process observed in Geran-2 drones examined in recent years.Nicusor Dan termed the strike as extremely serious, holding Russia responsible, and emphasized that Romania will continue to work with its partners to strengthen security on NATO's eastern flank.
